Bereavement Ministry

“Christ has no body on earth now but yours, no hands but yours, no feet but yours; yours are the eyes through which he looks with compassion on the world; yours are the feet with which he walks to do good deeds; yours are the hands with which he blesses all the world.”

St. Teresa of Avila

The Bereavement Ministry of St. Mary Help of Christians seeks to provide comfort and prayerful support to those in our parish family who have experienced the death of a loved one.

We represent our entire parish family as we reach out with compassion to the bereaved by telephone call, sympathy card and attending the funeral. We remember the bereaved family and their loved one in prayer throughout the first year of loss. This includes inviting the bereaved family to the Mass of Remembrance in November as well as remembering the first anniversary of the loss of their loved one.
