We are honored to be able to accept your prayer intentions. Prayer is a beautiful, as well as essential, way to ask for Our Lord’s help and blessings. Even when God doesn’t answer our prayers as we’d like, He gives us the grace to cope with our problems and tragedies better in any case. Don’t think that any request is too small. Our Lord Himself said “ask, and you shall receive” (John 16:24). Your requests become that much more powerful when others are praying for you as well.
We have a new prayer ministry at St. Mary's. Please look for the wooden prayer box in the narthex of both Churches. Cards are provided to write down your prayer requests. Please note that we will not include specific full names for prayers, but will use either initials or first names, when placing someone on our prayer list. Once a prayer request has been made, it will be distributed to the email chain and remain on the list for 2-4 weeks.
Also, it is a truly divine form of charity to pray for others, especially for those most in need! If you would like to be included as part of the prayer circle email chain, please email Bette at firstname.lastname@example.org. As this is a new endeavor, please contact us with suggestions and ideas for improvement.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
St. Elizabeth Ministry
Please pray for all expectant and new mothers. If you are pregnant or are someone who has recently given birth, or will soon give birth, and would like to be added to our prayer list, please contact Frances Gledhill in the Church Office at 803.649.4777.
Lord God, You made us out of nothing and redeemed us by the Precious Blood of Your only Son. Preserve the work of Your Hands, and defend both me and the tender fruit of my womb from all perils and evils. I beg of You, for myself, Your grace, protection, and a happy delivery. Sanctify my child, and make this child Yours forever. Grant this through Christ Our Lord. Amen.
Pray for our Troops
If you know of anyone actively serving our country and would like their service noted on this page please contact Frances Gledhill in the Church Office at 803.649.4777.
If your loved ones have been discharged from the military, please let us know so they can be removed from the list.
Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands, protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need and give us peace. I ask this in the name of Jesus, Our Lord and Savior. Amen.
